How to be a person.....when people are not being!

Composure has always troubled me. "How should I act in this situation or in another?" I would ask myself. At a point I decided that the hell with social rules: I'll act as I wish. However, this did not work out at all. Now, I find myself constantly analyzing my every move and, even by doing this, I end up making mistakes.

The worst part of it all is when you are trust in a situation when you feel that the point of views of the people around you are simply off and too crazy for you to bear. However, at the same time up need to abide by the 'how to be rules' of society. These off-views generally make you think that these people are simply not being as they should be. It is a case that sometimes we are so fixed in our ways that we totally block out any other possibilities of thinking differently on a certain matter.

I know someone who is totally and completely against divorce. The reasons he givesfor this, for me, are totally bizzarre since I am so fixed in my view on divorce. When talking about this I find myself in a struggle with myself not to start shouting in the other person's face: 'You're crazy!'....and this has happened more than once.

So the point is, although sometimes you might feel that others are not being normal with their actions just cause they do not conform with yours, it does not mean that they are not being, it generally means that they are different and have different points of views. This element of individuality needs to be appreciated.

This blog has been inspired by the trailer of the movie 'How to Be', a British movie.
